About

We build for one industry.

ExpeditionHQ is the booking and operations platform built only for helicopter tour operators. Not thirty industries. One.

Why we exist: to help helicopter tour operators fly more flights and earn more revenue.

Every booking platform on the market lists helicopter tours as one of twenty or thirty industries it serves. That means the things a helicopter operator deals with every single day, such as a five-seat payload limit, a passenger manifest that has to balance, a private charter with floor-fee math, a hotel concierge expecting a correctly commissioned invoice, get treated as edge cases.

So operators bend their operation to fit the software. They lose seats to scheduling that does not understand an aircraft type, leak revenue on flights the system cannot price, and hand a platform 6 to 8% of every sale, so the software bill grows every time they have a good month. The better the operator runs the business, the more the software costs.

ExpeditionHQ exists to end that. The scheduling logic is pilot-developed. Weight capture, three tiers of unavailability, private-flight economics and partner-organization commissions are first-class concepts in the data model, not features grafted on later. And the price is published openly: $500/mo plus 1% of online sales.

What we believe

  • Specificity beats breadth. A platform that serves one industry can model it exactly. A platform that serves thirty has to compromise on all of them.
  • Your software bill shouldn’t punish a good season. Platforms that take 6 to 8% of every sale get more expensive the better you run your business. We keep ours at 1% of online sales.
  • Prices belong in public. Every figure is on our pricing page. No platform in this category does that, and we think that says something.
  • Software should fit the operation, not the reverse. When a helicopter operation needs something the platform does not do yet, we build it in, quoted up front and maintained by us.
  • Operators are peers. You know your operation better than we do. We build the software; you tell us where it is wrong.

Who we build for

Scenic, sightseeing and adventure helicopter operators running roughly two to twenty helicopters, with annual booking revenue between about $250k and $10M. Most get a meaningful share of bookings through hotel concierges, travel agents, cruise excursion programs and DMC relationships rather than purely walk-up or OTA traffic, which is exactly what our partner distribution workflows are built around. Mixed fleets that add buses, vans or boats for transfers are well supported.

We are built in Canada and serve helicopter operators worldwide. For the short version of who we are and what we cost, see our facts and figures. To talk to a person, email [email protected].
